WHAT/WHERE
In 2008, the world consumed a whole lotta water wrapped in plastic.

With our eyes on the environment this week, it’s important to not forget that little choice we make every day that makes a big difference. Bottled or tap, sir? Crystal Geyser or sink water, madam? Sadly, the entire world doesn’t have strict practice for recycling, and those plastic bottles don’t end up as rafts in the Arctic, helping Polar bears bob peacefully from iceberg to iceberg. Though bottled water does save many a traveler from some mean gastro issues on the road, the bottled water movement isn’t making Mother Earth all that happy.

Our tap water comes from a well and not only is it pure and clean, it tastes better than bottled water too. A lot of people reuse their plastic bottles for their water – don’t do that, the plastic contains chemicals that can leak in the water, especially if it used over and over again. I suggest using a stainless steel bottle to keep your water in – it stays fresh and remains clean.
